Tablets & Robots Interactive Floor
Add an interactive floor driven by tablets and RC robots to your portfolio – no in-house software development required. Players use smartphones as gamepads, tablets for coding, and real remote-controlled vehicles on a projected surface. We provide ready-to-deploy software, technical support and marketing assets.
Projected floor
Games displayed on the floor surface
Tablet & phone control
Virtual gamepads and coding on mobile
RC robot missions
Real vehicles tracked on the projection
3 app collections
Coding, arcade and robot games included
Deployment Location
Play zones, school common rooms, STEM labs, family entertainment centres, event spaces, therapy rooms, after-school clubs.
Target User Group
Children, teenagers and adults aged 7–107. Ideal for pairs and small groups who enjoy competitive and cooperative play.
Use Scenarios
Coding education with tablets, arcade competitions on mobile gamepads, robot missions on a projected floor, teamwork workshops, events and parties.
Interaction Methods
Three distinct modes: mobile gamepads on smartphones, coding interfaces on tablets, and RC vehicle tracking on the projected floor via camera.
Interaction Surface
Floor with projected image. Standard interactive floor setup with projector and camera mounted above.
Three collections, three ways to play
This solution bundles three distinct app collections, each offering a unique interaction method on the interactive floor. Together they cover coding education, competitive arcade gaming and real-robot missions.
Kodi Challenge Team
Two teams code on tablets using picture blocks, then send their algorithms to the interactive floor. Characters race or cooperate on the projected board — combining visual programming with competitive network gameplay.
- 12 games, 120 game boards
- Competition and cooperation modes
- Visual coding with picture blocks
- Ages 10+, 2 players / teams
Arcade Champions: Mobile Gamepad
12 fast-paced arcade games displayed on the floor and controlled with virtual joysticks on smartphones. Players compete one-on-one in air hockey, car racing, darts, pinball and more — each game uses a different touch mechanic.
- 12 arcade games
- Phone as a gamepad controller
- Varied touch controls per game
- Ages 7–107, 2 players
Robot Adventures
5 interactive games where a real remote-controlled vehicle is tracked by the camera on the projected floor. The robot collects mushrooms, sorts fruit, draws pictures, delivers pearls and drives through a town — blending physical play with virtual missions.
- 5 robot mission games
- Real RC vehicle on the floor
- Camera tracks vehicle position
- Ages 5+, single player
How to build a tablets & robots interactive floor
Set up a standard interactive floor with a projector and camera. Connect tablets and phones via Wi-Fi. Place an RC robot on the projection surface. The same hardware supports all three collections.
Mount hardware
Install the projector and camera above the floor using a ceiling mount. Connect to a mini PC running Motioncube Player.
Network setup
Connect the mini PC, tablets and phones to the same local Wi-Fi network for mobile UI and gamepad communication.
Calibrate
Motioncube Player auto-calibrates the projection area. For robot tracking, enable the vehicle detection mode.
Play
Launch any of the three collections. Players connect their devices or place a robot on the floor and start playing.
Step-by-step setup
See the complete installation of the interactive floor — mounting the projector and the depth sensor, calibrating the projection area and launching the first application.
Motioncube Player (Beam) · Orbbec Astra 2 depth sensor · projector · two tripods

Technical specification
What you need to source and how to install it — hardware, mounting conditions and licensing.
| Projector | Short-throw or ultra-short-throw projector. Resolution 1280×800 or higher. Brightness 3500–4000 lm depending on ambient light. |
| Camera | 3D camera (e.g. Orbbec Astra 2) for body and vehicle tracking. Mounted above the floor projection area. |
| Computer | Windows 11, Intel i3, 8 GB RAM, SSD 256 GB. Wi-Fi adapter required for mobile device communication. |
| Mounting system | Ceiling or wall mount for projector and camera above the floor area. |
| Tablets / phones | 2 Android tablets for Kodi Challenge Team, 2 smartphones for Arcade Champions gamepads. Connected via local Wi-Fi. |
| RC robot (optional) | Any remote-controlled vehicle (Codey Rocky, Photon, Robot Dash, Lofi Robot, or RC car) for Robot Adventures. |
| IR pen | For launching and navigating apps on the floor. Used by the host. |
| Software version | Motioncube Player 2.7.4 or newer required for Mobile UI and vehicle tracking. |
| Mounting scheme | Projector and camera are mounted above the floor area (ceiling or wall bracket) and connected to the mini PC. |
| Mounting height | Minimum 2.5 m (8 ft) above the floor for the projector. Depends on throw ratio and desired projection size. |
| Network requirements | Local Wi-Fi network connecting the mini PC, tablets and phones. Internet access not required during gameplay. |
| Usage conditions | Flat, light-coloured floor surface. Avoid direct sunlight in the projection area. For robot tracking, ensure the floor is smooth enough for the vehicle to move freely. |
| Projection size | Typically 2×1.5 m to 3×2 m depending on projector and mounting height. Robot Adventures works best on larger surfaces. |
